Ready For Battle

I have become very aware of Satan and his schemes. I've been doing my best lately to stay aware of his tactics. Yesterday I decided to change my major that I believe suits God's will for my life. The moment I did I was stoked on life, y'all. I'm super happy with my decision to do so, but Satan likes to use doubt and fear to try to make me question myself. I've realized that Satan really does crack down on believers hard when we decide to step out on faith and do things God's way. So, of course the night of making this decision I would have a dream that these evil beings were coming after me. There were about 2 or 3 of them, not too much detail, but they were some ugly things. At first I was running from them. I'm a slow runner so that did nothing and they kept coming towards me. After running I finally told them to "Flee in the name of Jesus." Shortly after I woke up. I woke up and thought to myself "Satan really doesn't want me to succeed." But you know what, that's the encouragement I need to do above and beyond for God. It also made me realize there is power in the name of Jesus. It's easy for us to forget how much power we have in Christ as believers. There is so much power in the name and blood of Jesus. As believers we need to be aware of Satan's schemes. "Our enemy prowls around like a look looking for someone to seek and devour." ( 1 Peter 5:8 ) I was watching an episode of Joyce Meyer yesterday and she mentioned how Satan likes to attack us even more when we're following God a bit more closely. Satan doesn't like it, so of course he is going to try to hurt us. I totally agree with her. We also need to remember we are not in combat alone, but our Father fights our battles. Ephesians 6:12 clearly states that spiritual warfare is very much a thing to be aware of. - "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places." (Adapted from the Amplified Bible on Bible Gateway)

After having this dream, thinking about it and reading scripture I decided I am ready for battle. This girl is ready for battle. Satan can try to bring me down all he wants, he's been trying for quite some time now, but I have the victory. I AM VICTORIOUS IN THE NAME OF JESUS. It's one thing to say it, it's another to believe it. Let me tell you, I believe it and I can't help but smile as I type this. Satan doesn't want me doing the work of God, but in my heart I feel like I'm supposed to do big things and I plan to succeed somehow some way (through God) despite anything he tries to throw in my way. My God is bigger, my God is stronger, and my God is WISER. By Faith I will continue to move forward. (Take a look at Hebrews 11) This is the scripture where I said "Okay, God. I don't know how this crazy dream of mine is going to pan out, but I'll go for it." - "By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going" (Hebrews 11:8, NIV) God used Abraham as an example to me to demonstrate that I do not need to know the future because I have faith in the one who knows my future.

"By Faith" "Through Faith" That's a whole other post "By Faith" stay tuned. Our God is faithful. Be ready for battle. Keep walking with Him. Keep talking to Him. You and God will win your battles.
